MicroTrends Privacy Policy
Last Updated. 17 September 2026.
1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us
MicroTrends Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05704475. Our registered office is 30–34 North Street, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 1DW, United Kingdom.
This policy covers personal information collected through microtrends.co and related enquiries, bookings, purchases, support and communications handled by MicroTrends Limited. Trader Success VIP and TSV are trading names of MicroTrends Limited. Independent businesses linked from our website, including Algo Trading Systems LLC, are responsible for their own privacy practices.
For privacy questions or requests to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected] or write to our registered office, marked “Privacy Request”.
2. Information We Collect and Where It Comes From
Depending on your interaction with us, we collect the following categories of personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of our website, or from providers handling a transaction or communication on our behalf.
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, telephone number, billing or correspondence address, account identifiers and business contact details, provided through enquiries, bookings, orders or account interactions.
- Commercial information: products or services requested or purchased, licences, subscriptions, invoices, payment status and transaction references, provided by you or our payment and service providers.
- Customer communications: enquiries, meeting details, support correspondence, SMS messages, communication preferences and records showing when and how consent was given or withdrawn.
- Professional and service information: company, role, technical requirements, platform information and information you choose to provide about your experience or support needs.
- Internet and device activity: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, cookie identifiers and interactions with our website or emails, subject to applicable consent requirements.
Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, government identification numbers or sensitive information that is unnecessary for your enquiry. Any sensitive information needed for a particular service will be explained separately before collection.
We take meeting notes. Zoom meetings may also be recorded. Recordings can contain your image, voice, screen content and information discussed during the meeting.
Zoom meeting recording is optional and can be switched off. A non-recorded meeting is available on request. Participants are notified before recording begins. Recordings stored in Zoom are automatically deleted after 30 days.
3. Why We Use Information and Our UK Lawful Bases
- Enquiries, bookings and service delivery: to respond to requests, arrange meetings, fulfil orders, administer licences and provide support. Our basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and providing customer service.
- Business administration and security: to maintain records, protect systems, investigate technical problems and prevent misuse. Our basis is our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable business, subject to your rights and interests.
- Accounting and legal obligations: to maintain required financial records and respond to binding legal requirements. Our basis is compliance with legal obligations.
- Optional marketing and tracking: to send permitted email marketing or use optional analytics and similar technologies. We obtain consent where required. Where the law permits a limited email-marketing exception, we provide the required opportunity to opt out.
- SMS communications: to send messages within the scope of your separate SMS consent. We retain consent and suppression records to document your choices and prevent unwanted messaging. A contractual or legitimate-interest basis for service administration does not replace any required SMS consent.
You may withhold optional information and withdraw consent. Where information is necessary to fulfil a request or comply with a legal obligation, we will explain if we cannot provide the relevant service without it. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.
4. Sale and Disclosure of Personal Information
We never sell, rent or trade customer personal information.
We do not provide customer contact lists to other businesses or affiliates for their own marketing.
We disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described below and where permitted by applicable law, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended. The additional protections for mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent set out in this policy continue to apply.
- To providers acting on our behalf to deliver services, such as hosting, payment processing, booking, customer relationship management, communications, support, accounting or professional advice. Access is limited to the relevant service and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection arrangements.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or business transfer, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.
- Where required by law, a court order or a lawful request from law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.
- Where you expressly authorise a specific disclosure.
Service providers may receive the contact, commercial, communication, technical or device information necessary for the functions described above. An independent provider’s own processing, where applicable, is also explained in its privacy notice.
We use Zendesk, email and Close for customer communications, Mailchimp for email communications, and PayPal and Stripe for payments. Zoom is used for meetings. Authorised Trader Success VIP personnel in the United Kingdom may access customer information as needed to provide their services on behalf of MicroTrends Limited.
5. Mobile Telephone Numbers and SMS Consent
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We send SMS messages only after you have explicitly opted in to receive them from MicroTrends Limited. We do not give or share your contact details with other businesses or affiliates for their own communications, and we never sell, rent, trade or transfer your SMS opt-in information or consent.
The general disclosure categories above do not authorise sharing mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with another business for its own use, or transferring SMS consent through a merger, acquisition or customer-authorised referral. Consent remains specific to the sender and message purpose for which you provided it.
Providers operating our customer communications, including Close CRM, Twilio and SMS delivery providers, may process mobile numbers, message content and consent records only as necessary to administer and deliver our communications on our behalf. This does not permit them to use your contact details or consent for their own messaging. We may also disclose information where legally compelled; this does not transfer permission to send messages.
We never use SMS for marketing or promotional messages. Our SMS program is for one-to-one transactional communications, such as enquiry responses, meeting confirmations or changes, onboarding and requested service or support updates. Booking a meeting, purchasing a service, accepting website terms or supplying a telephone number does not by itself constitute SMS consent. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of booking or purchase.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Following an opt-out, we may send one confirmation and retain the minimum records needed to honour your choice and demonstrate compliance. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you explicitly opt in again. Sending us an SMS enquiry does not automatically opt you in to further SMS communications.
For assistance, contact [email protected]. Read our SMS Terms of Service for full program details and our Terms and Conditions for general website and service terms.
6. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising and Email
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand website activity. WordPress, plugins and embedded services may also use cookies or similar technologies for website operation or other purposes. These technologies can process personal information, including IP addresses, online identifiers and browsing activity. Email tools may record opens and link interactions.
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and other stored site data, although this may affect website functionality. See our Cookie Policy for further information. Browser controls do not replace any consent or objection mechanism that we are legally required to provide.
External booking services, embedded content, advertising or social-media tools may collect information about your interaction, potentially over time and across websites. Their access depends on the tools enabled and your applicable choices. A link to another website does not by itself authorise us to transfer your contact details or SMS consent.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Service messages necessary to fulfil your requests are separate from optional marketing. Email consent does not constitute SMS consent.
Our website uses Google Analytics and other website services that may use cookies or similar technologies. For information about their use and the choices available to you, please see our Cookie Policy.
7. Retention and Security
Cancellation or inactivity does not automatically remove all records from our systems. Names, contact details and past correspondence may remain after a service ends. You can contact us to request deletion, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, including providing services, meeting legal obligations and maintaining appropriate records. Relevant criteria include the duration of our relationship, statutory accounting requirements, applicable claim periods and whether a record is needed to honour an opt-out.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, limit access to those who need it and require suitable protections from our providers. No online transmission or storage system is entirely risk-free.
We retain customer contact details, enquiries, bookings, purchases, licence information and support correspondence to maintain a history of our customer relationship and previous services. Cancellation or inactivity does not automatically delete these records. You may request deletion by contacting [email protected]. Requests are assessed in accordance with applicable law, including any requirements to retain accounting, transaction or other legal records.
8. International Processing
MicroTrends Limited is established in the United Kingdom. Our providers or authorised personnel may process information outside your country. Where UK law restricts a transfer, an applicable adequacy arrangement, approved contractual safeguard or another lawful mechanism is required. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

Their storage and processing locations depend on the services and account arrangements used and may include locations outside the United Kingdom.

Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, that processing is governed by the applicable service and data-processing arrangements. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us before approaching the regulator.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information . If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes and Applicable Rights
We will publish changes on this page and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes and obtain consent before a new use that requires it. We review this policy at least annually and when our practices change.
Nothing in this policy or our general Terms and Conditions removes mandatory privacy rights or prevents you from contacting a regulator or exercising rights available under applicable data-protection law.
