The NinjaTrader 8 toolset was set to be released at end of quarter – the start of many continuous version updates which will continue onwards… the release schedule is incremental in nature, so the NT8 products updated over 2017 and even into 2018 onwards – as a constant series of updates is planned and we add new products, innovate and add features via user feedback to it.
But as detailed in our blog and newsletters communications – we were forced to abandon that route of code and due to NT8 issues which plagued progress, NT8 only became reliable enough roughly 2 months ago. So in fact we just dropped back from a new set of tools to recover/migrate what is already there for NinjaTrader 7 and put on hold the new products we had wanted to release also at the same time etc.
We also are working on a platform for license and updates, templates /workspaces settings and stats in parallel which has taken up the main part of 2017. Eventually this will even allow optimization and performance stats collation and even sharing etc – And we are not going to release this to the general public until the whole new platform is complete to allow control of it all etc.. But we will release components for the Early Bird user group, who are very keen to get delivery. So we will start to rollout out some of the components for NT8 in July – So Early Bird Users will be essentially an early preview/ beta tester of it all .we will not be rolling it out to the general public until the other parts are all wired in… much later on in 2017.
There are still the early bird offerings available after which products will be full price and annual updates/renewals are planned in some areas. so to avoid this you can still get an early bird deal.
So our plan now is get out the quantity and low hanging fruit to the user group waiting, so we will roll out the indicator packs first in the next few weeks end of June into July. Early Bird Group users will be updated directly – and liaised with directly we will keep the public release and info for much later. So effectively we will cut out a set of components and simply control the access via the old NinjaTrader license route and code expiry so we will release each week or sooner if required with fixes updates etc
